Pupil Premium Strategy (including Vulnerable Pupils)
The Pupil Premium Grant is a stream of ring-fenced funding, from central Government, aimed at addressing underlying inequalities for the following children:
- Those currently or previously entitled to free school meals (FSM)
- Those currently or previously in the care of the Local Authority (LAC)
- Those whose families serve in the armed forces
We have developed a three year plan using the required DfE template which runs from 2024-2027. A short review takes place at the end of each academic year. This is shown below:

Online FSM Application
PE and sport premium for primary schools
The PE and sport premium is a ring-fenced grant which schools receive to develop regular, high quality physical education and sport sessions to be taught in schools. This was first introduced as part of the London Olympic legacy to ensure that all children receive a first class physical education programme.
The grant is intended to help schools address five key areas:
- Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity
- Profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement
- Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
- Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils
- Increased participation in competitive sport
Schools are required to report annually on how the grant has been allocated and the impact of the school’s actions on outcomes for pupils. You can read our latest reports below.
