At Wheatfield we offer a broad and engaging computing curriculum that helps children:
- Become excellent Digital Citizens by learning how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly.
- Develop a firm understanding of technological concepts, such as, programming, algorithms and networks.
- Collaborate and build resilience by working together using a wide-range of programs and resources.
- Create and safely store digital content, including web pages, blogs and games.
- Understand the importance and impact of technology on modern world, as well as look back at key miles stones and figures in the history of technology.

Computing Opportunities - Purple Mash
As we enter our third year using Purple Mash as a school it is brilliant to see that the children are logging on and enjoying the range of games, quizzes and computing tools available to them at home! Your child’s teacher should be able to provide their username and log in (KS1 and KS2). If there are any issues please contact Ms Rutherford via the office for support.
Micro:bit Workshops
As a school we have been gifted with a set of brand new Micro:bits! Ms Rutherford will be running one off Micro:bit workshops across this year. Children will be invited along to an after school session where they can learn how to programme their own Micro:bit and do incredible things with it.
